As summer begins to show its lengthened days of sunshine and warmer temperatures, the tourists begin to show their presence here at the Jersey Shore. It’s the time of year that every native of the beach despises; roads practically impassible by means of traffic, throngs of people decorating street corners, and the beaches themselves are always filled to capacity. During the summer, those who live at the beach year-round try and avoid tourist-saturated places, however, have you ever considered that the places you try and avoid most are places that can help enrich your summer experience? The following are some places that may always be crowded with people, however, are definitely worth the visit.
The Jersey Shore- Quite an obvious one, however, one that many may try to avoid during the tourist-heightened summer. Despite the constant crowds, the beach is a wonderful place to spend your summer. Since we live so close to the beach, we often take the scenery around us for granted. The beach, however, is a wonderful place to visit, along with the shops and attractions there are to visit in places like Long Beach Island and Seaside Heights.
Adventure Aquarium- An aquarium may not be a first thought when deciding a summer destination spot, however, an aquarium is a unique place to visit for a day. A more quiet and relaxed environment, an aquarium is a location that may have some tourists floating about, nonetheless, the experience is still enjoyable. An aquarium is a thought-provoking and purposeful place to visit in the summer.
Six Flags- In terms and conditions of crowded areas, this one is quite obvious, however, we are truly lucky to have a Six Flags located within a reasonable vicinity. Six Flags Great Adventure is a wonderful way to use a summer day, whether it be within the amusement park itself, the safari, or the waterpark. Despite the label of a tourist attraction that holds true to its name, Six Flags is worth the trip and the masses of people throughout the area.
Seaside Heights- Another location related to the beach, Seaside Heights is a place of multiple attractions and activities, a vacation destination that can keep one occupied all day. Seaside Heights encompasses the boardwalk atmosphere, with games, restaurants, and, of course, classic boardwalk food such as deep-fried Oreos, accompanied by an amusement park. Of course, there are always flocks of tourists swarming throughout an environment such as this, however, if you’re willing to overlook a bit of a crowd, Seaside Heights is a marvelous place to spend day of your summer.
